I haven't been here in quite some time. and some of those who may have commented or enjoyed the Sly Cooper retelling may wonde just where I've been, and when they can expect to see the thing carried to completion. So, i'm going to give you the best timeframe i can: I don't know.
I'm infected with writer's block on that particular story. Rest assured though that Sly has made his way from Paris, to England, to the US, to Haiti, and is now hip deep in China. Some of his later exploits are also chronicled, and a preview of those should be in my scraps here soon.
In other news, the fanfic wheels are still turning, this time with another property: Starfox.
Though not a retelling in the same sense as Sly Cooper, this story takes place alongside the events of Starfox 64. The main character is of a set not usually seen in Starfox games. The games are tales of the pilots. Bill Grey, Katt Monroe, Fox McCloud, airborne heroes of the Lylat system. The entire war couldn't have been fought from the skies, though. Starfighters can't recover captured cities. Pilots can't take part in boarding actions, and some targets are just too well hidden to be attacked from the air.
These jobs are reserved for the ground pounders, the foot soldiers. These jobs are the sort that the Cornerian Marine Corps delight in.
The tale I will tell is that of Lieutenant Tiger Mondegreen. Fresh out of Cornerian Marine Officer Selection Academy, the "LT" earned his commission in the failed initial defense of Corneria City. Circumstances forced his retreat from that battle, though. Ever since, he's been eager to reclaim his home planet, and take the fight to Venom itself, even if he has to cross the entire Lylat system to do it.
Rather than the lighthearted space-western that is Starfox, expect Cornerian Marines to be much darker and violent in tone. After all, the fighting is much more personal at the end of a gun than it is in the cockpit of a starfighter.
That's all for now, though. Check the Scraps section for a preview of Sly's later adventures.

It's a bit of a downer, but I'm sure they have their reasons. As such, I'm offering to let anyone who asks hear some of the more complete MIDI's that I've done over time. They are
Don't Fear the Reaper, piano concerto
Paint it Black, Piano
